Do my spouse or dependents qualify?
Often, yes. Many service members can transfer unused Post-9/11 benefits to a spouse or child. Spouses and children of veterans who are permanently and totally disabled, or who died from a service-connected cause, may qualify through DEA (Chapter 35) or the Fry Scholarship. Military spouses may also have options like MyCAA. We help your family figure out what they can use.
Does the GI Bill cover certification exams?
The VA can reimburse the fees for approved licensing and certification exams — such as the CompTIA exams ACT prepares you for — in addition to your training. You typically pay the exam fee and submit for reimbursement through the VA. Our team helps you understand the process and which programs qualify.
Will I receive a monthly housing allowance?
Post-9/11 GI Bill students may receive a monthly housing allowance while training. The rate depends on your benefit level and whether you train in person or fully online — online-only training is paid at half the national average. We set honest expectations up front so there are no surprises.
How do I get started, and what is a Certificate of Eligibility?
A Certificate of Eligibility (COE) is the VA's confirmation of your benefit. You apply at VA.gov (VA Form 22-1990) to receive it. Bring it to us, and our School Certifying Official submits your enrollment to the VA. Start with a free 15-minute call and we'll walk you through every step.
What if my benefits are used up or I don't qualify?
