Reviews from ACT Graduates

“I took the Access Computer Training A+ course in January of 2022. Because of Covid19 we did everything online, but it was like you were in the classroom. My instructor, Mike, was a great teacher. He explained all the chapters in the A+ Certification Guide to a point where I understood it very well. While I was studying to take the exam I found an ad on a website for a help desk level 1 person. I figured I’d go in take the interview and see how good I would be before I took the exam. To my surprise I did very well. I was very familiar with the questions and the test they gave me. I got the job even though I didn’t take the exam yet. All thanks to Mike’s great teaching. Now I am still studying to take the exam even though I have the job and they put me at a level 2 help desk tech. I must say working with Kristin Pelletier and Mike McQuain was very good. They helped me with any problem I had and the group I was in was great and helpful too.”

“From our first conversation this lady right here has changed me, has changed my outlook on what I CAN do. I have always tried, throughout my years, to go back to school and I have but have always quit. (Life got in the way) Well not this time. I have mostly worked in an office environment and thought I knew Microsoft applications very well. Well Kristin showed me more than I ever thought the program was capable of doing. In the time that I have been going to her school I have gone from a 20% knowledge of Microsoft to a whopping 90% knowledge of Microsoft Apps. Word, excel, PowerPoint, Teams, wow that is another world in itself and so many more. Love it. If you are looking to go back to school, Access Computer Training is the best place to start. They guide you through it all and you don’t fall through the cracks. They are there to help you with the application process, the books, setting up the equipment and more. The instructors are amazing, understanding and help you the entire way. They make themselves available for group and one on one assistance. Don’t go anywhere else call Kristin, you will not be disappointed.”

How it works (fast):

We’ll help you pick a path and understand funding options.

Do I need experience?

No. Many of our students start with little to no tech background. We’ll help you begin at the right level—whether that’s building core computer/IT foundations first or jumping into a certification track if you already have some experience. If you’re unsure where you fit, book a free consultation and we’ll recommend the best starting point.

How do I choose the right program?

The fastest way is to start with your goal (IT, cybersecurity, cloud, project management, etc.), your current experience level, and your timeline. During a free consultation, we’ll ask a few quick questions and match you to a realistic path—so you don’t waste time or money on the wrong course. Prefer to self-browse? Visit our Programs page to explore categories and recommended paths.

How long does it take?

It depends on the program and your schedule. Some courses can be completed in weeks, while career-track pathways may take a few months. The best way to get an accurate estimate is to tell us your availability and goal—then we’ll map out a timeline and recommended next steps during your consultation.

Are there funding options?

Yes—funding options may be available depending on eligibility and the program. This can include grants, veteran education benefits (where applicable), and flexible payment options. If you’re not sure what you qualify for, book a free consultation and we’ll point you to the most relevant options and next steps.

Is there career coaching?

Yes. Career support may include resume and LinkedIn improvements, interview preparation, and job-search guidance—based on your program and goals. We focus on helping you translate your training into a strong candidate profile and clear action plan. Ask about coaching during your consultation to see what’s included in your path.

Online or in-person?

Format depends on the program. Some training may be available online, in-person, or in a blended/hybrid format. If you have a strong preference (or scheduling constraints), tell us during your consultation and we’ll guide you to the best-fit option.

What certifications do you support?

We support training paths aligned to in-demand credentials across IT and cybersecurity, including popular CompTIA certifications and other industry-recognized options (depending on the track you choose). If you’re targeting a specific certification, tell us your goal and current level—then we’ll recommend the best prep path and prerequisites during your consultation.
