Who We Are

A Florida career training school — not a college campus, not a course library.

Access Computer Training was founded in 2014 to fix a real problem: adults who wanted a tech career didn't have a clear, practical, beginner-friendly path. Online courses left them stuck. Traditional college took too long. Bootcamps weren't built for working adults.

We built ACT to be the alternative — a licensed, post-secondary career training school where you get real instructors, structured pathways, hands-on labs, and career support that doesn't end on graduation day.

Today, we serve job seekers, career changers, veterans, and working professionals across Tampa Bay and the state of Florida — partnering with employers, workforce agencies, and the VA to help our students get hired.

Quick Facts

Licensed by the Florida Department of Education (CIE #5237). Certified Woman-Owned Small Business. CompTIA Authorized Partner. Microsoft Learning Partner. Based in Lutz, FL — serving statewide.

Our Mission

Help adults build real, lasting careers — not just collect certificates.

We exist to provide career-focused training that gets people hired. Every program is designed to deliver three things: industry-recognized credentials, practical job-ready skills, and the career support needed to land the role.

Excellence

Standards-based instruction aligned to certification objectives.

Workforce Relevance

Curriculum aligned to what employers actually hire for today.

Student Support

One-on-one mentorship, after-hours help, and career coaching included.

Accountability

Measurable outcomes for students, instructors, and the institution.

Why ACT

What makes us different from a YouTube course or a coding bootcamp.

We're a licensed, employer-aligned career training school — built for adults who need a real path, not just more content.

01

Live, Instructor-Led Training

Real instructors. Real classroom interaction. Recorded for review — but never pre-recorded only.

  • Live demos and guided practice during every session
  • Ask questions in real time — no waiting on a forum
  • Sessions recorded for 24/7 review and catch-up
02

Industry-Recognized Certifications

Our IT and cybersecurity programs are built on official CompTIA curriculum — not generic content.

  • CompTIA Authorized Partner (CAPP)
  • Microsoft Learning Partner
  • Exam voucher + one retake included on certification programs
03

Career Coaching Built In

Training without job support is incomplete. Every program includes the career side, too.

  • Resume and LinkedIn rebuilds with a Highlands-certified coach
  • Mock interviews and salary negotiation prep
  • Job search strategy and placement support
04

Real Funding Partnerships

Many of our students don't pay out of pocket. We work directly with the agencies that fund career training.

  • WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act)
  • Florida Vocational Rehabilitation
  • VA education benefits (Post-9/11 GI Bill®, VR&E)
