Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist (A+, Network+ and Security+)
Mike McQuain is a Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certified trainer for all five of the primary Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook). In addition to his MOS certifications, he is also a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) for Microsoft Project and a CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist, holding CompTIA A+, Network+ and Security+ certifications. He has 30+ years of experience working with various Microsoft programs and a variety of other computer hardware and software experience. Mike also has almost 10 years of teaching and course development experience for a wide variety of technical subjects. In addition to his teaching experience, Mike has worked as an I.T. consultant, with clients in Florida and several other states. He has been an I.T. Manager, Applications Developer, Corporate Trainer, and a variety of other technology-based roles in his many years of experience.
In addition to his technical background, Mike has been playing guitar for over 40 years. He has taught guitar in both the public schools and via private lessons. Mike has played professionally for several productions by the Tarpon Springs Performing Arts Center. He holds a B.A. in Audio Recording and Production and worked as an Auctioneer and Radio DJ for several years before moving into the technology sector. Mike also has extensive experience as an Audio Engineer and is constantly seeking new ways to merge his love of music with his technology background.
Mike has served his community by sharing his love of music with hundreds of school children as part of the annual Great American Teach-In. He also has volunteered at several local churches, playing guitar in various praise and worship bands, and serving on the church’s technical team.
