Business Applications & Bookkeeping

We’ve discussed in a previous article how Access Computer Training  (ACT) makes the classes more engaging by creating an “experience” for our students.  This article will outline two of our most popular trainings – Microsoft Office Fundamentals and Bookkeeping.

Business Applications

Business Applications is a course designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the most useful tasks utilized in a typical office environment.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is a must for most office jobs.  Our hands-on Business Applications course was written by Microsoft Office Certified Instructors who have also been using these programs for 30 years in a business setting.  That makes the curriculum we provide relevant and comprehensive for anyone from a beginner level to even advanced users.

Bookkeeping

Our Bookkeeping course includes both Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and QuickBooks.  GAAP is the accepted accounting standards and procedures that must be followed when preparing corporate financial statements.  QuickBooks is one of the most commonly used accounting and bookkeeping software businesses use for accounts payable and receivable. Our four week bookkeeping course gives students a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles using GAAP along with in-depth instruction on utilizing QuickBooks.  A professional bookkeeper teaches this course, which also includes a QuickBooks textbook (with access to an online Ebook) and 140-day free QuickBooks software trial.

Both of these courses are designed to help students become more marketable in the workplace.  Some students take this class in an effort to boost their resumes while seeking employment, while others are already employed and wanting to enhance their skills for a future promotion or transition into a new career field. Whatever your situation, ACT is here to help you succeed.  Give us a call today!
