How do I sign up for a Diploma Program?
Easy, give us a call so we can gauge your skill level to determine the best program for you. We will walk you through the WIOA grant program if you are an individual looking to improve your computer skills for job placement purposes. We can guide you through the EWT and IWT grant programs as well if you are a Florida business looking to get your employees trained.
Is there help after hours?
Absolutely! We understand there are times where you need some one on one help. This time with our student services assistant or the instructor is recommended to help you with homework and/or resumes. Just be sure to schedule in advance.
What is the criteria a student needs to register for your classes?
No TABE test, no High School Diploma, no GED. There will be an interview to determine whether or not this program is a good fit for you, and you for it. The interview is no more than an hour. Keep in mind if you are receiving government funding, testing may be mandatory. Check with your CareerSource counselor.
Are the instructors certified, knowledgeable and helpful?
All instructors go through a rigorous training and must past a stringent test for each of the Microsoft Office Programs. Once certified MS Office Specialist, then they are ready for more training to be an effective trainer. They also will take a personality test prior to hiring to ensure we are hiring the best fit for our team and our students. When we deem fit, they will be ready to teach. All instructors are trained to teach the same curriculum per class without much deviation (barring questions that may arise) to create consistency with each class, each course, no matter who is teaching. It’s one thing to know the content, it’s another to have the ability to pass that knowledge on to others in a comprehensive way! “We strive to do just that”
What resources do I have for practice if I do not have a computer at home?
You can set up an appointment to come in and use our computer lab. We will be happy to get you set up with whatever you need to practice on. You can schedule the lab Monday thru Thursday anytime after class until 5pm.
What do I need to bring to class?
A willingness to learn, a positive attitude, business casual dress, yourself-on time, a flash drive, and your utmost attention. We serve a bottomless pot of coffee all day long, ice cold Zephyrhills water and great snacks from time to time. We want you to feel welcomed and comfortable. Also, bring business cards, resumés and the like as these classes are great opportunities to network!
Where can I go to write a great review?
After each course, we send our students a request to fill out a survey and let us know what we could do to make the class better. Also, feel free to go to our website and click on the links on the first page to write a review with Angies List, Google, Yelp, Yahoo or Bing. Pick one! We appreciate your time in doing that and want to make every effort to address any issues, or obtain referrals from happy customers or get feedback on what we can do better. It’s your voice, use it!
